From the canals to the zoo

One thing you can’t miss is the experience of Amsterdam centre from the water, taking a boat through the canals will show you Amsterdam in a totally different way. I recommend not taking a canal cruise or any other touristy boat, but rent your own.
Another great idea is to visit our city zoo Artis on one of the special afternoons ZOOmeravonden, each Saturday night during June, July and August the zoo programmes all kinds of tours and entertainment and stays open till sunset.
